Skoda Enyaq iV electric SUV confirmed for Australia in 2023
The fully-electric 2023 Skoda Enyaq iV and Enyaq Coupe iV (four door) are due to arrive in Australia in the second half of 2023, the company has confirmed.
Speaking to the media at the launch of the facelifted Skoda Kodiaq large SUV, a spokesperson for the brand confirmed Skoda's first electric vehicle for Australia is coming, and that it will "start taking orders as soon as next year".
The brand has also confirmed that both the traditional wagon and four-door 'coupe' body types will be offered from launch.
The Skoda Enyaq iV is a fully-electric vehicle that rides on the Volkswagen Group's dedicated 'MEB' platform, and slots between a mid-size Karoq and large Kodiaq in terms of dimensions.
Whilst it is unclear which versions or specifications are destined for Australia, the Skoda Enyaq iV is offered intentionally as a rear-wheel-drive vehicle with 109kW, 132kW and 150kW outputs, or all-wheel drive with either 195kW, or 225kW in the case of the Enyaq RS performance model.
Claimed range - according to Europe's WLTP protocols - is anywhere from 355km to 537km depending on the model, with Coupe versions offering more range due to their more aerodynamic bodies.
